About the event
This course will provide the clinician and educator with a clinical update on techniques for detection of common oral lesions seen in the mouth, their characteristics and etiology. Particular emphasis will be placed on review of the literature regarding incidence and prevalence pf bacterial, viral and fungal lesions along with current treatment modalities, referral guidelines and survivorship.
Course Objectives:
At the conclusion of the course, the participant will be able to:
Recognize characteristics of common oral lesions (bacterial, viral, fungal)
Utilize methods for detection
Treatment of common oral lesions/When to refer
Appropriate documentation for record keeping/referral
